Since Oracle Application Express 2.2, all metadata defining your applications are exposed by means of the (new) data dictionary views. This opens perspectives to set-up your own Quality Control System with checks against coding standards and good practices. When starting the development of a new application, one of the first actions you always do is set up naming conventions, coding standards, and best practices. This presentation will show you how you can increase the overall quality of your application by controlling whether your development team follows those outlined guidelines. Those controls can be implemented by queries against the APEX repository views presented in a custom QA applicationin APEX of course.
