Get the Scoop on All Things Kscope14

Believe it or not, Kscope14 is right around the corner. We are looking forward to seeing you in Seattle. Here are a few notes to get you started:

Community Service Day – If you have already signed up to attend Community Service Day, please meet at the Fountain Wine Bar at the Sheraton Seattle at 7:30 AM to have breakfast and pick up T-shirts. Buses to the site will leave at 8:20 AM.

Wear long pants and sturdy shoes (no flip flops). Bring a filled water bottle with you; there will be extra water there for refills at the site. Gloves and tools will be provided.

If you did not sign up to participate in Community Service Day but you would like to, show up at the Fountain Wine Bar on Saturday morning. Chances are you will be able to join the group on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Registration – Registration is open on Saturday, June 21, from 4:00 – 7:30 PM on the 6th floor of the Washington State Convention Center. After that, Registration begins at 7:00 AM on Sunday and Monday, 7:30 AM on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 8:00 AM on Thursday. Check the agenda for daily schedules.

Mobile App – Download the FREE Kscope14 (search Kscope14 at the Android, Google Play, or App Store) or log in via your computer (https://kscope14.gatherdigital.com). This app allows you to:

  • Develop your onsite schedule
  • Download presentations
  • Contact fellow attendees to meet up and network
  • Stay current with social media
  • And much more!

The best part about this app is that it syncs with all of your devices!

Attention, Photo Lovers – We are offering walking photo tours on Saturday, June 21, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM and Tuesday, June 24, from 5:45 – 7:45 PM. Meet photographer Warren Capps in the lobby of the Sheraton Seattle to head down to Pike’s Market for great photo opportunities. Be sure to use #kscope14 when sharing your photos on Instagram.

Usability Labs –While you're at Kscope14, get a sneak peek at new software designs, and let Oracle know what you think!

Oracle Development Tools User Experience is looking for your feedback on new designs. Oracle is working on new tools and features specifically for developers, and would particularly love to hear from mobile frontend or backend developers, or business analysts.

Usability sessions are scheduled ahead of time for your convenience. If you would like to participate, please let us know which sessions you could attend by filling out the sign-up form at http://tinyurl.com/q6fmbd5. Your scheduled session will be emailed to you before the start of the conference. To show our appreciation, we are offering participants their choice of several different thank-you gifts.

Ambassador Sign-up – When you register onsite, check out the Schedule at a Glance boards, and sign up to be an ambassador for the sessions you are planning to attend. Kscope conference ambassadors help distribute and collect evaluations, and seek logistical assistance if needed during a session. This is a great opportunity to meet speakers up close and personal. The more sessions you serve as an ambassador for, the more chances you have to win a free pass to Kscope15.

CPEs – For those of you who are attending the BI and EPM sessions, Kscope14 is approved through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) for 26 CPEs. Certificates of attendance are available at the Registration Desk.

Conference Dress – Casual. We want you to be comfortable!

Be sure to check the website and mobile app for all the conference activities. We look forward to a great week in Seattle!
