Backstage Pass: Lesser Known Features for Easier HFM Management – Christopher Barbieri, Finit Solutions
The Financial Close Review Team is looking forward to Chris’ session, which focuses on making the most of the latest out of the box admin features. This session underscores this year’s theme of “how admins can make their lives easier” offering great ideas that attendees can immediately use. The week will be capped off with a special two-hour session along the same theme called “Campfire Stories: Tips for Making Life Easier for the Financial Close Administrator.”
About Chris Barbieri - The Financial Close Track Lead at Kscope17
Oracle ACE, Chris Barbieri, is an EPM System Architect at Finit Solutions, specializing in EPM Applications, EPM Platforms, and EPM Business Content. Chris has been working with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) since it was released in 2000. During his eight-year tenure with Hyperion, Chris worked as an implementation consultant, applying product features to solve business problems. He also worked very closely with the development team on product design, and worked as part of the global support organization to support escalated cases and product issues. Since 2007, Chris has been working as an Oracle partner, continuing to design and implement Financial Close solutions. In 2010, Chris was recognized by Oracle for the ACE program for his contributions to the community.
Kscope17 will be Chris’s eighth year attending Kscope. He said, “The content has been consistently great at all of the KScopes, but I’d have to say Kscope13 in New Orleans was my favorite venue so far because the city itself is so amazing. I loved the music, the history, the local food, and the ‘anything goes’ vibe. I also enjoyed my first airboat boat tour which was very cool!”
Chris continues to come Kscope each year because of the combination of camaraderie and the valuable technical content. Chris said, “ODTUG has done a consistently outstanding job all these years, not to mention the significant work done by the team of people who manage the conference itself. Each year feels like a family reunion, though I do meet lots of new people too.” Chris has been reading The Onion for years and is looking forward to hearing from Scott Dikkers during the General Session at Kscope17.
