Kscope is known for its top-notch speakers, but those who crave a more interactive learning experience will find exactly what they need at Kscope15 with the return of the Hands-On Training Labs sponsored by Peloton. These sessions are BYOL - Bring Your Own Laptop - and are included free of charge with your conference registration.

This year, Kscope15 participants will not sign up for Hands-On Training Labs in advance. Classes are limited to 75 people and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Among the Hands-On Training Labs to be offered:

  • Matt Forrester and Steve Bowden of Peloton will help you Gain Hands-On Experience with Oracle’s Fastest-Growing Product: Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service. Participants will receive an overview of the various PBCS modules and learn how to use the new simplified web interface, load data into Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service, configure a basic planning application in PBCS, navigate through the new cloud-based configuration and setting capabilities, and create batch jobs to automate tasks such as data loads and database calculations.
  • Carol Krajewski of interRel will lead MAD About Mobile? Learn to Create BI Mobile Apps with BI Mobile App Designer. Create a mobile app with no code and no need to call IT. Participants in this accelerated, fast-paced session will work with the latest version of Mobile Application Designer to create an end-to-end mobile app.
  • David Peake of Oracle Corporation will give you the opportunity to learn Soup-to-Nuts of Building APEX Applications, which is designed to take you through building a comprehensive application using Application Express. This "double" session (two-plus hours) is designed for people with no prior knowledge or very little experience developing with Application Express. You will learn how to develop a large number of different application components and walk out with the confidence and understanding of how to start building your own applications using Oracle Application Express.
  • Lynn Munsinger of Oracle Corporation will offer Developing On-Device Mobile Apps with Oracle MAF, which will teach participants how to develop apps that run on both Android and iOS with ease. Learn how to create user interfaces, access local and remote data, and activate device features. Deploy and run the application directly on your phone or tablet.

These are just a few of the 20 sessions from which you can choose. Be sure to read the descriptions of all the Hands-On Training Labs. Remember, space is limited and filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no additional fee to attend these when you sign up for the conference, so don't delay. Register for Kscope15 by the Early Bird Rate deadline of March 25 to save $300, and book your hotel room while you're at it!
