Kevin McGinley Appointed as ODTUG’s Kscope16 Vendor Chair

Wilmington, NC – In an effort to promote enhanced vendor relations, ODTUG’s Kscope16 Conference Chair and ODTUG Board Member Danny Bryant appointed Kevin McGinley of Red Pill Analytics to the position of Kscope16 Vendor Chair. This position was previously vacant. The Kscope16 conference (www.kscope16.com), ODTUG’s largest and only annual conference, is June 26-30, 2016, in Chicago. The conference boasts more than 300 technical sessions that span the ODTUG communities of Application Express, Business Intelligence, Database, EPM, and ADF.

“The Vendor Chair is an integral component of making the Kscope conferences a success, and I can think of no better person suited to fulfill this role than Kevin,” Bryant said. “Over the years, his dedication and support of ODTUG and Kscope have been second to none. Kevin is a respected member of the BI Community and has held several leadership positions with Kscope and ODTUG. I look forward working with Kevin on the Kscope Conference Planning Committee. Welcome to the team!”

ODTUG is an Oracle user group and global not-for-profit organization focused on education and support for more than 30,000 Oracle technologists worldwide. The Kscope conferences bring more than 1,600 individuals together over the course of six days. One of the major components of the conference is the exhibit hall, and strong vendor relations are vital to making it a success. The addition of McGinley to the Kscope16 Conference Committee will ensure that the vendors as well as the participants of the event are at the forefront of the changing Oracle technology landscape.

McGinley is also presenting at Kscope16 and has been a volunteer for ODTUG, presenting in previous years, conducting webinars, and leading the BI track for Kscope12 and Kscope13. He is also the Community Leader for ODTUG’s BI Community and in this role helps ODTUG dive deeper in the Business Intelligence space. He is an Oracle ACE Director and co-founder of Red Pill Analytics.

"I am honored to be asked to assume this role and excited to get started,” McGinley said. “Among the many reasons Kscope is a great conference are the vendors who put considerable resources into creating a great atmosphere for all of the attendees. I look forward to working with them to continue the great tradition of Kscope.”

McGinley’s experience with ODTUG and previous Kscope conferences, as well as his perspective as a business owner, will be a great asset to vendor relations for Kscope16. The conference is projected to be the highest-attended event ODTUG has hosted to date. For more information on Kscope16 and how you can become a vendor, visit www.kscope16.com.
