Perficient has delivered back-office analytics in for restaurant operations at Macaroni Grill and Ruth's Chris, but those solutions lacked two components that have pushed us to develop an improved solution with Oracle BI as the foundation.
Putting Oracle BI Mobile HD in the hands of each restaurant manager puts back-office analytics in the forefront of day-to-day operations. Does the market basket, for example, show bottled water sales early in the evening leads to a greater overall spend? Are upcoming promotions going to strain on-hand inventory or raw goods? We present example scenarios from real-life requirements and explain how BI Mobile would solve the issue.
Adding Oracle Endeca Information Discovery allows even greater visibility into trends. Data gathered from frequent diner programs allows for greater demographic breakdown of data. Behavior can be driven through promotions or direct-to-consumer marketing via mail or email. Twitter, Facebook, and other social media avenues offer another source of data. Oreo won the Superbowl ad blitz in 2013 through real-time analytics against social media by submitting their famous "You can still dunk in the dark" ad during the blackout. We present this example with how it would work when done through Endeca.
