It’s true that the upgrade process from OBIEE 11g to 12c is more simple than previous upgrades. However, it’s not all roses as we learned in the process of upgrading a large OBIEE environment at LCRA. We’ll walk through the steps to upgrade to OBIEE 12c from 11g. We’ll discuss using some of the new features of 12c including Baseline Validation Tool to check for differences in environments, import service instance and the BI migration tool. Most importantly, we’ll talk about all of the lessons learned from experiences with this 12cupgrade.
