Kscope14 Announces Community Service Day Project

“Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.” ~Anthony Robbins

Kscope is a singularly unique event in Oracle user group conferences. One reason is our signature Community Service Day project, where we as volunteers give back to the city that is hosting our great event. This day of giving back was born in New Orleans in 2008, in the wake of the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. In 2014 we honor nature, which humbled us then.

nclogo.jpgNature Consortium in Seattle, Washington, strives to combine community, art, and nature. Be a part of this quest by joining ODTUG on Saturday, June 21, for our seventh annual Community Service Day. ODTUGgers will be working to eradicate several invasive plant species in the West Duwamish Greenbelt, one of the crucial wild spaces in Seattle providing a home to much of the wildlife thriving in this tech-savvy city. In keeping with the values of Nature Consortium, Seattle itself, and Kscope14, you will realize the culmination of community, art, and nature as musicians play in the forest while you work to better the environment.

Sign up when you register for Kscope14. There's just over one month remaining to get the Early Bird Rate, so don't miss out! If you are already registered, log back into your registration and select the Community Service Day option. Have questions? Check out our FAQs.

Can't Participate, But Still Want to Give Back? Donate!
Another way to give back is to make a donation to our project. Nature Consortium staff members are needed to assist in the on-site organization of the project; food is needed to keep our volunteers energized; transportation costs need to be covered.

No donation is too small! Companies or individuals donating more than $300 by May 15 will have their names or logos placed on the back of the official ODTUG Community Service Day T-shirt.

To become an ODTUG Community Service Day Sponsor, please click here to donate today. Add this day of service to your action-packed week of more than 300 sessions from which to choose. You won't regret it!
