By Leticia Cordova, CheckPoint Consulting

Have you started counting down? I have!

This year, our talented and hard-working ODTUG Board of Directors and Kscope Committee bring us to Chicago, one of the most entertaining cities in the world known for putting the roar in The Roaring Twenties. Career Track
By Jon Harvey, eCapital Advisors

One of the questions we frequently get in the EPM space is, “How do I get started with a career in EPM?” We’ve heard your call and as a result created a community specifically designed for nurturing recent graduates considering a career with Oracle technologies: the ODTUG Career Track Community. This community is specifically designed to provide newcomers to the space a chance to “learn from the best” with content from Oracle experts specifically geared toward people just starting their careers.

The community also provides great networking opportunities and invitations to exclusive events where you’ll have a chance to network with current (and future) leaders of the Oracle Communities. If this sounds interesting to you, check it out at www.odtug.com/career and be sure to follow the #orclCareer hashtag on Twitter!

The Product Manager's Corner
By Marc Seewald, Oracle Corporation

Although not even halfway over, 2016 is shaping up to be a year of exciting milestones for the Product Team here at Oracle Hyperion EPM. In the March issue of Product Manager’s Corner, Rich Wilkie described two new EPM services: Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS) and Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS). These are major new additions to the EPM Cloud. If it is not already obvious, the Oracle EPM Cloud is taking shape with a full range of capability. Read more.

EPMware Q&A with Abhi Nerurkar, Co-Founder
By Chris Rothermel, Rothermel Consulting

CR: What is EPMware?

AN: EPMware is a customizable Master Data Management (MDM) and Workflow software platform, used to streamline metadata management in an organization, and provide data governance for requests of metadata. The solution provides users with the ability to manage metadata, hierarchies, and supporting metadata properties in a central location with integration to upstream and downstream systems. It also includes out of the box integration with the Oracle Hyperion Suite of products.

CR: So if I have Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle Hyperion Planning or Oracle Essbase I’d be interested in this?

AN: Yes, absolutely…add to that EBS, PBCS, EPMA, NetSuite, Anaplan and Workday. They’re all applications we directly load metadata to, out of the box.

CR: What motivated you create this product? Read more.

Attribute Dimension Functionality in PCBS
By Chris Rothermel, Rothermel Consulting

Summary
Attribute Dimension Functionality in PBCS had been limited, but the latest announcement from Oracle both closes the gap and improves functionality. “You can now use an attribute dimension as a dimension, as a filter in forms and reports, and within ad hoc grids." I’m very excited about this new feature. In my joyful exuberance, I worried if I was correctly reading the news. So I wrote down my understanding of the current situation and asked for clarification on the announced improvement from Shankar Viswanathan and Kash Mohammadi from Oracle Corporation. Following is a transcript of our discussion: Read more.
