If you could describe ODTUG in 10 words or less, what would they be?
Only one word comes to mind when describing ODTUG: AWESOME!

What is your motivation for joining the board?
Our organization is in the midst of great growth and change. I'd like to help shape that expansion and direction. I've been proud to be part of the annual Kscope conference for the past several years. As I pass that torch onto other awesome leaders, I'd like to work on pushing the ODTUG initiatives to the forefront to continue helping our members grow professionally and technically while also strengthening our presence in this industry.

What attributes do you feel you would provide to this position?
In my 15+ years of experience working in the technology community, I've picked up a few things. I'd like to utilize my leadership, analytical, and people skills towards this very important role. In addition, I think I bring a fresh perspective to the team.

Do you have a principal goal you would like to achieve as a board member?
There are so many wonderful roads for us to look forward to navigating in this organization. In the EPM Community, I've been leading an effort to improve the ODTUG volunteer program. Once this initiative gets off the ground, I'd like to consider expanding it to the other communities. This is part of a broader goal to create better touch-points with our members so they can also participate and shape our future. Beyond that, I will continue to think in our members’ best interests and work towards success.

If you could describe ODTUG in 10 words or less, what would they be?
ODTUG is THE resource for Oracle development tool learning, novice to expert.

What is your motivation for joining the board?
Solidify and expand ODTUG's local and virtual presence: ODTUG needs to keep ahead of the shift in how developers consume and share technical material.

What attributes do you feel you would provide to this position?
-  Insight on developer needs gained via 30+ years of development experience, across large and small companies, government and private, large to single-person development teams.
-  Insight on user group operations gained through 10 years volunteering at local, regional, and national user groups as technical reviewer, monitor, conference committee member, presenter, attendee, and editor. As a board member, I will have greater ability to solicit more content in more diverse formats.
-  Eye for timely, quality material on the latest Oracle tools, gained through eight years as editor for IOUG and now for ODTUG.
-  Firsthand knowledge of the challenges of learning the latest development tools while simultaneously delivering solutions on time with fewer resources.

ODTUG needs these attributes to attract and deliver quality technical material to our members.

Do you have a principal goal you would like to achieve as a board member?
I have two goals to achieve as a board member:
-   Improve quantity and depth of searchable, accessible Oracle developer content. When a developer does a search, I want to see an ODTUG post in the top five results.
-   Deliver training and networking to more members at less expense, via local and virtual meetups.

ODTUG's the premier networking and learning organization for Oracle professionals.

What is your motivation for joining the board?
I have benefited greatly from my participation with ODTUG. The network I have built has provided me with good friends and has helped me advance in my career.
