MDX is an industry standard language that is at the heart of Essbase ASO calculations. It can be used to query both ASO and BSO. It also shows up in plenty of other places such as triggers and Smart Query.
This session starts at the beginning and using hands-on exercises, quickly develops MDX concepts, basic syntax and the most commonly used functions. Next we will make some comparisons and conversions from BSO Calc language. Last we will cover some intermediate topics including conditionals and rolling calculations.
