Currency translation can be one of the most confusing parts of an EPM system. The session will start with a primer on accounting translation for non-accountants and cover topics such as Local vs. Functional currency and CTA calculation. We'll then review the tools built-in to HFM to support currency translation. We’ll also discuss how more advanced capabilities such as CTA calculation and historical rate translations are typically designed into applications. We'll wrap up with a comparison of HFM translation to other EPM tools, highlighting its capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses.
