I think this session would be useful both four our beginner Essbase atendees and for our business content people, who may want to get more hands-on with Essbase.

I find that trainging often comes too early or too inadequately for many Essbase users. Most folks need some time to struggle fruitlessly or just get by for a while before some of this stuff makes any sense. Up-front, all-at-once training is thus of limited effectiveness. I think a refresher course and an outright trainging course on ad-hoc analysis can be done at the same time. And that's this session.

Experienced users know when to have suppress missing turned on and when not to. They know which zoom options to pick when. I label these occasions as analysis modes and present the related option settings for each. This eases the learning curve for beginners and solidifies concepts for those looking to shake that beginner label.

I have never seen a presentaion on plain, simple Essbase analysis skills at a confernece, and I can't for the life of me figre out why.
