As organizations turn to the cloud and SaaS solutions more and more, their data becomes stored in multiple locations. While the cloud brings many benefits to an organization, it’s also creating new challenges, such as how to report across platforms in a single place.
To address this, APEX introduced a new feature called Web Source Modules. Web Source Modules make it trivial for APEX developers to consume and integrate any RESTful web service hosted by anyone. Once integrated, APEX forms, reports, charts, and even calendars can point to the corresponding web service displayed on any APEX page.
This session will provide an overview of Web Source Modules, what they are capable of, and how they work with other APEX components. It will then walk through how to create them and tie them to APEX components for reporting as well as CRUD operations—all without writing a single line of code!
