End-User Application Development (EUAD) and Business Unit Application Development (BUAD) are paradigms predicted since 2007 by Gartner, and they have been improving their understanding around this theme. In 2011, they cited Apex as one of the technologies that could be used in EUAD projects. Nevertheless, they clearly underestimate the power of Apex in the BUAD environments in 2012 recents papers. Based on a 5-year program now involving 100 Apex developers, 100 projects and millions of monthly page views, we've discovered that Apex is great for BUAD too. Every company can have its own end users developing without compromising quality, control or governance. In the session, we'll talk about 4 general principles that can be adapted to make it happen within their own companies using Apex.
