ODTUG Women in Technology is a year-round program that fosters engaging conversations while offering career tips, inspiring reads, and real-life stories with the potential to guide technology professionals in their paths to success.
Women in Tech is open to all members interested in promoting equality and diversity in the workplace. With support from the whole community, we hope to create a space for dialogue, collaboration, and growth.

A word from Alecs on why WIT matters
There are many incredibly talented women in the ODTUG technology world, and we need to hear from them more often! Women in tech can be agents of positive change by simply putting their stories in the spotlight. By engaging in candid conversations about their growth, lessons learned, and successes in their technology careers, they can pave the way for future generations of women in technology and give that much needed motivation boost to those who believe they are struggling to achieve more. Talent, dedication, and hard work yield better results when we are surrounded by a network of supportive individuals. Let’s become that network!
ODTUG WIT Mentorship Program Announcement
We’re excited to introduce the WIT Mentorship Program, which will help foster connections between community members who are looking to boost their professional growth. This is a great chance to make a personal connection and learn the skills needed to take your career to the next level. The ODTUG WIT team will be pairing interested participants and providing a framework for the initial conversation. After that, it’s up to the mentors and mentees to determine a schedule and mode of communication that works best for them. The program will run in three-month increments, with the first round spanning April 1– June 30. If you are interested in signing up as either a mentor or mentee, please fill out this form. In order to participate in the April 1–June 30 timeframe, submissions must be received by March 24. Any submissions received after that date will be rolled over to begin in July. Once we receive your submission, we will follow up via email with more details.
What is this initiative about?
This initiative aims to provide a space to explore issues of equality and diversity in the workplace. It is a forum to share tips and insights that will help everyone succeed in their technology careers.
What’s in it for me?
This is an opportunity to be part of an amazing community, become a mentor or a mentee, develop your own leadership and public speaking skills, learn, and share valuable advice with the rest of the ODTUG WIT community.
What is the format of the initiative?
Our goal is to engage the ODTUG WIT community via regular webinars/podcasts that highlight ODTUG Women in Tech members and discuss various WIT topics, followed by WIT blog posts.
