I know. I know. I don’t call. I don’t write. Well, I’ve been busy, dang it. Doing what, you ask? Well, for one, as ODTUG president I also serve on the Conference Committee. And while the heavy lifting is done by Mike Riley, Natalie Delemar, Chet Justice (pictured with me), John King, Gary Crisci, and the YCC staff, I’m there to provide oversight and to generally make sure that the goals of the organization are reflected in the conference. On that front I can tell you I’m extremely excited to see what Mike and Co. are planning this year. The content has been posted and it is stellar. Click here and see for yourself.
A few weeks back, the entire Conference Committee (with the exception of John King who was representing at UKOUG) traveled to New Orleans to finalize content, walk the conference space, meet with the hotel officials, sample the food, and make sure everything passes the eyeball test. Having participated in several of these planning meetings in the past, this was undoubtedly my favorite. The committee is focused on providing you the best possible conference experience.
