What! You're Still Not Using Groovy?

Five years ago, I wrote a paper on Groovy as part of a presentation for the ODTUG Kaleidoscope Conference. There are many similarities between this paper and the one from five years ago because, while the language has evolved, the majority of enhancements found in the latest version are for more advanced users. Therefore, the fundamental reasons that make Groovy an exceptional programming language have not changed. The inspiration for this second coming of a great idea was two conversations I had at last year’s ODTUG Kscope12 Conference.
