Here is an overview of a few sessions track lead, Julien Coudrette is most looking forward to at ODTUG Kscope19 and why he will be attending them:
Hey Google: What Are Some New Innovations in EPM Cloud: Financial Close - Rich Wilkie, Oracle Corporation
Oracle is investing heavily in machine learning and artificial intelligence. In this session I am expecting to see a lot of cool demos showcasing what they have been able accomplish in the past year. I will be looking for ideas to improve my clients close process, for example by leveraging intelligent process automation.
Keys to the Kingdom: Key Concepts to ARCS Application Design - Nick Boronski, Alithya
ARCS is becoming more and more widely used. This session is intended for HFM or FCCS administrators and users; it should help you understand the key conceptual differences between ARCS and HFM/FCCS and give you the fundamentals to be more proficient when approaching ARCS.
Rapid Acquisition Integration with FCCS and Handling the Underlying Accounting - Krunal R Kapadia, KPMG and Lee Smith, Inmar
Acquisition integration is something that invariably happens during the life of a consolidation application. I am looking forward to learning the emerging best practices in FCCS, including how to set the purchase accounting data for proper cash flow presentation and translation.
About Julien Coudrette - The Financial Close Track Lead for ODTUG Kscope19
Julien is a director in Grant Thornton's Business Applications practice, where he creates financial close and tax reporting applications integrated with the broader EPM and Finance environment. Julien is a frequent speaker at Oracle and tax conferences, such as ODTUG Kscope, OAUG Collaborate, or Oracle OpenWorld. He served as the track lead of ODTUG Kscope18 and ODTUG Kscope19. His favorite ODTUG Kscope so far was ODTUG Kscope18 in Orlando, during which he particularly enjoyed racing karts at the event, and he was able to combine it with a family trip to Disney World. ODTUG Kscope is a great conference to learn what others are doing with EPM and generate ideas directly applicable to client situations, whether by attending sessions or by interacting with members of the community.
