Moving your database into the cloud is a popular option within organizations for development all the way through to hosting production applications. They’re several large cloud service providers that offer Database as a Service solutions, Amazon being one of them.

This presentation will guide you through setting up an Oracle database on Amazon’s Web Service (AWS) Relational Database Service (RDS) platform and setting up web servers to host APEX environments. Other areas to be discussed will be usage for secure development, offline production calculation, other AWS features, and comparisons with other cloud service provides.
