Putting 7 Robust Oracle Enterprise Manager Features into Action

Presented by:
Zane Warton, Datavail

Organizations with complex enterprise infrastructures can struggle with managing, monitoring, and automating their Oracle technologies. Bringing them under a single point of control is an appealing prospect. Oracle Enterprise Manager, a first-party tool developed by Oracle, brings together Oracle deployments into a single dashboard. It also supports non-Oracle databases, making it a cost-effective and centralized tool for managing IT environments with a mix of database platforms.

Understanding the full capabilities of Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c allows organizations to make the most of this solution. In this presentation, attendees will get a deep-dive look at seven robust features:

  • Intelligent Incident Compression (Smart Alerting)
  • Chief Job Support
  • Always-ON Monitoring
  • Notification Blackouts
  • System Broadcast
  • Export & Import Incident Rule Sets
  • Metric Enhancements

This session highlights seven specific Oracle Enterprise Manager features, exploring their use cases and teaching attendees why they’re useful for managing, monitoring, and automating both Oracle deployments and non-Oracle databases.

Unlock the Mystery of Building Profitability Models and Put the Business Users Back in Action Using Profitability and Cost Management (PCMCS)

Presented by:
Oracle_ACE Program_Spade_Pro_rgb.pngMegha Chopra and Oracle_ACE Program_Spade_Pro_rgb.pngMohit Jain, GenPact

Every organization is challenged with improving product and customer profitability. To maximize profitability, a business must be able to accurately measure, allocate, and manage costs and revenue. Organization needs a tool that can manage the cost and revenue allocations necessary to compute profitability for a business segment, such as a product, customer, region, or branch. Selected systems should be able to support, for example, allocation of raw materials cost among multiple products, outbound and inbound freight cost, customer rebates at the product level.

PCMCS enables cost decomposition, consumption-based costing, and scenario-playing to measure profitability for effective planning and decision support. This solution is business-user friendly and allows business users to change allocations and key profitability drivers as business conditions change.

Session will include a live demo of the application. By the end of this session attendees will learn:

  • Creation of application
  • Dimensions
  • Model views and validating application
  • Data loading
  • Calculation of application
  • Driver-based allocation
  • Working with rules
  • Rule analysis
  • Prebuilt analytics
  • System reports
