Virtualizing Oracle Applications on OVM - Architect a Virtualized Environment Built on Oracle VM Using Best Practices
Ramakrishnan Ramasubramanian, NTT Data
This webinar explains how to design, install, and test the functionality of an entire implementation of the Oracle product OVM (Oracle Virtual Machine). You'll learn about the four Vs: viability, value, versatility, and vision. These four tenants cover the full spectrum of issues most everyone will face when virtualizing Oracle on OVM. Build upon this foundation and deliver a practical set of technical and business best practices for compute, networking, and storage topics, which are presented in detail. You'll learn from leading technical minds on the subject how to plan for, install, and properly optimize Oracle. Discuss how to plan for properly licensing Oracle to fit your business needs to ensure you get maximum value out of your investment. Most important, you'll learn how to get support for Oracle on your OVM platform, and along the way, you'll see that Oracle on OVM is arguably supported in a way that's even better than what is available when running Oracle on physical infrastructure alone.

Game On! Integrated Analytics: An Inevitability for Survival and Growth
Mike Killeen and Andy Rocha, Edgewater Ranzal
Information is the biggest asset to an organization’s ability to make informed decisions, but disconnected, isolated, and trapped data disrupts entire business models. The fundamental problem, then, becomes the integration of data. The resolution: an integrated analytics strategy that allows a company to identify opportunities, improve communication, and eliminate gaps in data. But what does a successful integrated analytics strategy look like?
Attend this webinar to gain a better understanding of the need for and benefits of an integrated analytics strategy as we explore use cases to demonstrate how Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) provides autonomous analytics to power every decision to be data driven. See some of OAC’s collaborative, flexible, enterprise class components and features that allow it to connect people, places, data, and systems to fundamentally change how users analyze, understand, and act on information. Additionally, witness how it easily integrates with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools to provide a comprehensive solution.
The presentation concludes with a live demo of Data Visualization, the self-service data exploration portion of OAC that allows users to spot patterns, trends, and correlations that otherwise might go unnoticed in traditional reports, tables, or spreadsheets.
There are big gains to be made from integrated analytics, ranging from improved effectiveness of models and business rules, decreased probability of errors, and a better ability to meet regulatory requirements to realizing money-saving efficiencies more easily and more engaged management as they see the business impact of analytical activities. Get in the integrated analytics game now, understand all your data, and ensure long-term survival and growth!

Happily Ever After: ODTUG and Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Solution (EPBCS)
Gary Crisci, General Electric
Have you heard the news that ODTUG has gone live with Oracle’s Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service? ODTUG recently announced that it has adopted Oracle’s EPBCS to manage its financial reporting and budgeting needs. ODTUG has long wanted to utilize Oracle’s innovative finance solutions, but the large investment required in computing assets made it unfeasible. Today, with the availability of Oracle’s cloud solutions, the paradigm has shifted. These solutions provide a way for smaller organizations to adopt enterprise-class software without incurring the overhead typically associated with these advanced applications.
In this session ODTUG Director and Oracle ACE, Gary Crisci will demonstrate the ease of deploying an EPBCS application for ODTUG. Gary will walk through the process of creating an application in PBCS, importing metadata and financial data from ODTUG’s GL, and building feature-rich dashboards and financial reports. He will also lead a demonstration of some of the novel features in EPBCS such as the ability to manage metadata via the Smart View Excel add-in.

Are You Ready To Shoot For the Cloud?
Joe Malewicki, iArch Solutions
Migrating to cloud may seem like an overwhelming task, but if you want to stay with your current on-premise software, you can still take the first step toward the cloud with an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution. With this option it's like you are getting a new stadium to compete in, but you're keeping the same high-performing team. We will discuss the different cloud offerings and whether upgrading your software in the process can also benefit your team now or in the long run. We will discuss just how cost effective an on-premise upgrade can actually be. The cost and time savings alone might make you head back to the office and start planning the upgrade project today.
If you're ready to fully shoot for the cloud and migrate off of your on-premise software to the latest and newest, then a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution is for you. You can get the cutting-edge products with no hardware costs involved. We'll go over both options during this presentation and also look at a hybrid approach of starting with IaaS and then moving to SaaS as you bring on new technologies or sunset existing legacy systems.
Please join us for this educational and informative session and let’s get you up to where you should be today!
And remember: someone’s “cloud” is just someone else’s “computer.”
